The latest episode from X-Men 97 takes aim at the first live-action movie.

Revealed in a trailer below, the three-part finale of X-Men 97 includes a line where Cyclops ridicules the attire he and his fellow mutants wore in 2000’s X-Men .

"Am I going to war or a circus?" Cable says when Cyclops offers him his classic yellow and blue outfit.

"What'd you expect?” replies Cyclops. “Black leather?"

The line is a callback to a scene in X-Men when Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine asks James Marsden's Cyclops, "Do you actually go outside in these things?"

Cyclops responds "What would you prefer? Yellow spandex?" It’s a line that divided fans given yellow spandex is how the X-Men dress in the comics, as well as in X-Men: The Animated Series of the 1990s.

Now things have come full circle. Black leather is out, and yellow spandex is in. The three-part finale of X-Men 97 starts streaming Wednesday May 1 on Disney+.
