The Boys Season 4 Poster References Classic Meme

A new poster for The Boys season 4 has dropped, and Homelander’s pose is…interesting.

In it, we see the unhinged superhero (Antony Starr) standing in front of amassed riot police. Their shields are raised, with red and white paint splattered across them forming the colours of the United States flag.

But look at the clasped hands, the maniacal grin. It’s reminding fans of a classic meme.

It’s not clear if the show’s creators intended the reference, but it’s hard to put it past them. The Boys often features pop culture parodies, satirizing everything from Gal Gadot’s lockdown song to Kendal Jenner’s Pepsi ad.

That's not the only development, however. As confirmed recently, The Boys gets a Mexico spinoff series .

The Boys season 4 premieres June 13 on Prime Video.
