Netflix is bringing the hit manga written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki, Sakamoto Days , to the streaming service in 2025, and they've given fans an early preview in the form of a sixty-second trailer.

Currently serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump since 2020, Sakamoto Days follows a retired hitman in his new life as a family man and shopkeeper.

Sakamoto Days will be available exclusively on Netflix in January 2025.

First Look at Sakamoto Days

Netflix is really teasing Sakamoto Days fans because the official trailer is a snappy sixty-second that opens strong but doesn't give away any plot details.

"He was once the ultimate hitman," the voiceover starts, "His name... was Taro Sakamoto".

We then meet Sakamoto, who is now retired, throwing his old ways away for the traditional life of a married man with a family. His life may look different now, but the hitman turned shopkeeper has still got it, and we expect plenty more twists and turns to come.
