A new look at the Xenomorph from Alien: Romulus has been unveiled by director Fede Alvarez, who gave fans a sneak peek of the technology in motion in a new video across his social media.

Alvarez shared the thirty-second look at the Xenomorph animatronic used in the film, and it's stunning to see so much attention to detail when CG and VXF have been so prominent in recent big blockbusters.

The video shows the technology under the skin, which previews the robotics in motion before cutting to a fully-suited Xenomorph that looks like it'd be terrifying to cross paths with.

It closes with the animatronic Xeno launching into the air, adding to the imagined horror on set for the young ensemble cast that would've been interacting with it across the shoot.

Alvarez has been proudly promoting the extensive use of practical effects in the film during the press tour.

He has repeatedly said, "There's no green screen" in Alien: Romulus , saying that "most things are real". During a sneak early preview, Alvarez said, "You could've got lost inside" the purpose-built set.
