Shogun broke records last night after sweeping the Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

FX’s political drama set in feudal Japan won 14 Emmys - the most ever for a single season of a television series. That’s one better than the previous record holder, 2008 limited series John Adams , which won 13 Emmy awards.

And this is before we even get to the main Emmy ceremony, which happens September 15th, where Shogun stands to win up to five more. The show won all but two of its nominated categories, including costumes, makeup, editing, stunts and cinematography, and best guest actor in a drama (Néstor Carbonell).

The Bear , meanwhile, had the second-best showing last night with seven wins, including best guest actress in a comedy series for Jamie Lee Curtis.

She played the mother of Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) in season two episode Fishes . Jon Bernthal, who plays Carmy’s big brother, won best guest actor in a comedy.

You can watch the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on FXX on September 14, with both nights of the show edited into a single 2.5-hour spectacle. It streams September 15 on Hulu. The Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by Dan and Eugene Levy, air on ABC on Sept. 15.
