Mickey 17 Trailer – Robert Pattinson Stars in First Look at New Film From Bong Joon Ho

Fans were furious when Warner Bros announced a new release date for Bong Joon Ho's Mickey 17 earlier this year, pushing the film from a March 2024 release date to January 2025, which bemused many people who expected the film to play in the awards game due to the director's historic Oscars success with Parasite .

However, the first details and trailer were teased at CinemaCon in April, where it was said that " Mickey 17 is for the freaks" and is "heavy on the humor", featuring Robert Pattinson as "expendable" Mickey Barnes who goes on a dangerous journey to colonize an ice planet.

Warner Bros has now released that trailer, which gives the general public the first preview of Bong Joon Ho's adaptation of the 2022 sci-fi novel from Edward Ashton, Mickey 7 .

The trailer opens with Robert Pattinson floating in space before a shocking turn of events takes his hand off and into the atmosphere, as Dean Martin's " Ain't That A Kick in the Head " fires up to soundtrack the rest of the trailer, where Pattinson as Mickey is shown in multiple compromising positions.

Balancing humor with macabre events, in typical Bong Joon Ho fashion, Mickey 17 looks to be a riot with Pattinson joined by Toni Collette, Naomi Ackie, Mark Ruffalo, Steven Yeun, Angus Imrie, Thomas Turgoose, Steve Park, and Patsy Ferran.

Mickey 17 will be available in theaters and IMAX on January 31, 2025.
