Star Wars Video Game Character Reportedly Set For Live-Action Disney+ Debut

The protagonist of the biggest current Star Wars video game series is reportedly going to feature in an upcoming live-action series on Disney+.

Cal Kestis, the playable character in both Star Wars: Jedi Survivor (2023) and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2019), is coming to a live-action Disney+ project "very soon,” according to industry insider DanielRPK via his Patreon.

There’s not much to go on, but “very soon” could line up a Kestis appearance in Skeleton Crew , which releases December 3, 2024. Later Star Wars series we could see him in include The Mandalorian & Grogu , which releases in 2026, and Ahsoka season 2, which begins filming in 2025. Of course, the project Kestis is rumored to feature in could also be unannounced.

Kestis is a Jedi during the early reign of the Galactic Empire, which lines him up with the events of Ahsoka . After surviving the Great Jedi Purge during the climax of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith , he embarks on a quest to rebuild the Jedi Order, all while fighting off the Empire's relentless Jedi hunters known as Inquisitors.

Cameron Monaghan provides performance capture, who’s best-known for his role as Ian Gallagher on comedy-drama series Shameless . Monaghan also plays twins Jerome and Jeremiah Valeska, who serve as origins for the Joker, the DC Comics-based TV series Gotham .

He’s not in our list of the 8 best Star Wars characters who need a Disney+ spinoff series , but an appearance in an existing project is still an exciting prospect.
