Floodgates opened upstream as Lake Travis rises
The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) has opened floodgates at two dams upstream from Lake Travis as water levels rise following recent heavy rainfall in Central Texas. As of Wednesday morning, two floodgates were open at Wirtz Dam on Lake LBJ, while five floodgates were operating at Max Starcke Dam on Lake Marble Falls.
