    Trojans win 11 of 12 events over Marshall in swimming action

    MARSHALL — The Sturgis swim and dive team won again on Tuesday, picking up a road victory at Marshall by a score of 119-66.

    The Lady Trojans swam to first place in 11 of 12 events in the dual matchup. It started in the first race with the team of Mia Albarran, Kenzy Triezenberg, Stella Males and Ava Albarran swimming to the top spot in the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:14.89.

    Ainsley Gump paced the field in the 200 freestyle at 2:04.31. She also won the 100 freestyle at 56.41 seconds. The 400 freestyle relay team of Gump, Kaylee Draper, Emma and Hannah Garbine won as well — they posted a time of 4:02.32.

    Triezenberg swam to first in the 100 breaststroke at 1:17.24. Hannah Garbine was first overall in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:17.15 and Draper swam to first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:00.51. The team of Garbine, Garbine, Gump and Draper were first in the 200 freestyle relay at 1:50.14.

    Mia Albarran's time of 1:15.45 won the 100 butterfly. Emma Garbine won the 50 freestyle at 27.13 seconds, Hannah Garbine won the 200 individual medley at 2:36.35.

    Sturgis was third in the 200 medley relay with Mia Feyes, Lilly Whitehead, Chloe Clark and Katelyn Halling posting a time of 2:23.18. Draper's time in the 200 freestyle was 2:12.91 for second, Sydney Herblet came in sixth in that race at 2:38.92. Triezenberg swam to second in the 200 IM at 2:46.90, Valeriia Sheshenia came in sixth at 3:13.10.

    Mia Albarran was second in the 50 freestyle (28.38) and Ava Albarran was fourth (30.53).

    Cora Taylor finished third in the diving competition with 145.25 points.

    Clark's time of 1:18.42 was good for second in the 100 butterfly. Males was third at 1:23.62. Emma Garbine finished second in the 100 freestyle at 57.76 seconds, Ava Albarran came in fifth at 1:11.64. Feyes had a time of 6:36.93 to finish fourth in the 500 freestyle while Herblet's time of 6:57.96 was good for sixth.

    Males, Halling, Ava Albarran and Herblet came in third in the 200 freestyle relay at 2:06.09.

    Males placed third in the 100 backstroke (1:19.40) and Feyes (1:21.64) came in fourth. Clark swam to third in the 100 breaststroke at 1:29.17 and Whitehead finished fourth at 1:29.69.

    Sturgis' 400 freestyle relay team of Mia Albarran, Feyes, Clark and Triezenberg swam to third. They posted a time of 4:40.94.
