HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Governor Andy Beshear announced funding from the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) for upcoming projects in Western Kentucky that will support workforce training and public infrastructure.

The $2,950,657 in funding will go to four projects:

    • $2,024,000 will go to the city of Sturgis to rehabilitate its wastewater treatment plant.
    • $450,000 will go to Henderson Community College to support its advanced industrial maintenance training program.
    • $326,657 will go to the Webster County Fiscal Court for workforce training equipment for students.
    • $150,000 will also go to the Webster County Fiscal Court to develop a comprehensive economic development plan.

Beshear said, “The DRA does amazing work for our families across Western Kentucky. Today, we celebrated projects to support workforce training, continue our economic momentum and ensure our public infrastructure is up to date. This is a great example of working together on the federal, state and local levels to make life better for Kentuckians.”
