Parts of Wyoming saw hazy skies during this past weekend that were even worse Sunday night, 07/21/24. This week will bring in more smoke down from Canada and across from Utah. Also, fires in Montana that picked up in intensity over the weekend made the situation much worse for northeastern Wyoming.
Rapid City’s legion teams finish regular season Saturday

Suspect identified following standoff near Pinedale Heights
RAPID CITY, S.D. - An armed suspect has been apprehended by police following a seven-hour standoff near Pinedale Heights. At about 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 21, law enforcement received reports of gunshots in the area of 5200 Pinedale Circle. Names Released in Lincoln County Fatal Crash
South Dakota authorities have identified the two people involved in a fatal crash last Friday morning in Lincoln County. The South Dakota Department of Public Safety says around 5:30 am, 28 year old Darrian O’Neal Cline of Smithville, Oklahoma was driving a Jeep Cherokee eastbound on 294th Street near 474th Avenue. At the same time, 74 year old Michael D. Stinton of LeMars, Iowa was driving a Volvo semi westbound on 294th Street. For an unknown reason, the Jeep crossed the center line into the westbound lanes and struck the semi head on.
