United Group breaks ground on downtown Troy apartment and office space
Meant to revitalize downtown Troy, the development of City Station North is breaking ground. The United Group of Companies was approved for $42 million in construction financing for the multi-family apartment complex, office space, and parking garage in February. The company says it hopes the added development will spark daytime activity in the downtown and positively impact nearby businesses.
Gigantic Snake Killed After it Allegedly Tried to Attack Workers
A work crew in upstate New York reportedly killed a snake in "self-defense" after it tried to attack them last week. Earlier this week we told you about a work crew from Albany Water that was attempting to fix a water main in upstate New York when a gigantic snake reportedly came out from the woods and slithered its way to the work site. At first, it was reported that when the crew saw the snake they called the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) to report it, and soon after a DEC crew responded to capture and remove the snake.

(TNS) In mid-May, the chef and new restaurateur Dylan Longton told his 183,000 TikTok followers that he welcomed mugs themed to their hometown or state and would feature them in his Pretty Alright Breakfast Club, an Upstate New York diner that takes the place of the former Gracie’s Kitchen in Voorheesville. It started serving quietly last week and formally opens today.

21-Year-Old Accused In Shooting That Injured 2 Young Girls In Troy
Keovion Goodwine, of Troy, was taken into custody Tuesday, July 2, on attempted murder and related charges. Troy Police did not publicize the arrest until Tuesday, July 16. According to investigators, Goodwine shot two girls, ages 11 and 14, near Fourth and Madison streets shortly after midnight on Sunday, May 12. Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
