Weeks after he skipped her Bridgerton -themed bash, it seems Jennifer Lopez’s plans on Ben Affleck’s 52nd birthday proved that two could play at that game. The Atlas actress decided to sit out her husband’s birthday celebrations in favor of a night out at a Bruno Mars concert.

While Affleck was presumably blowing out candles somewhere (or perhaps just sighing heavily), Lopez was spotting living it up at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The “Jenny from the Block” singer, 55, traded birthday celebrations with the Argo director for a night of star-studded fun at the venue’s opening night.

Decked out in a white crop top, massive sunglasses, and enough bling to light up the arena (including a not-so-subtle “Jennifer” necklace in lieu of her “Ben” necklace), J-Lo was seen giggling with Ashton Kutcher and grooving to performances by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. Oh, and in case you’re wondering—yes, her wedding ring was still firmly in place. She even took to her Instagram Story to post photos and videos from her outing, captioning one flick, “About Last Night.”

But before we start pointing fingers, let’s not forget that Ben was MIA at J-Lo’s own birthday bash last month—so it’s not a huge surprise that the This Is Me Now actress decided to do the same.

Rumors about the couple’s alleged impending divorce have been working overtime lately. Back in May, reports confirmed that Affleck had packed his bags and moved out of their shared home in Beverly Hills. Since then, it’s been a roller coaster of on-again, off-again sightings. One day they’re out and about, wedding rings conspicuously absent ; the next, they’re flashing their rings like nothing’s amiss. They’re spending holidays (and evidently, birthdays) apart, then suddenly they’re playing happy families with each other’s kids.

Adding another layer to this confusing cake, People reports that Lopez made a pit stop at Affleck’s place just days before his birthday. A few weeks earlier, a source told another outlet that things weren’t looking good for the pair, sharing that they “don’t have a lot of common ground, and the honeymoon phase has worn off.”

Another insider added, “In a perfect world, Jen would like to make it work with Ben. It’s heartbreaking to her and she tried very hard to make it work.”

Apparently, if things do go south, these two are determined to keep it classy. “Behind the scenes they have been finalizing what that will look like if they pull the trigger,” a third source told Us Weekly. “Their main goal is to remain amicable.”
