7 Makeup Trends to Take Note of for 2025, According to NYFW Runways

New York Fashion Week is constantly setting the trends. And even though all eyes are on the newest collections, NYFW beauty is just as (if not more) impactful. When it comes to makeup, runway shows bring us the year’s biggest makeup trends long before they hit your For You Page. So, if you’re curious about what’s to come in 2025, NYFW is the perfect place to look. After all, beauty trends can be super hard to keep up with—so there’s no harm in getting a head start.

In order to track down 2025’s hottest beauty trends, I went backstage at NYFW and asked makeup artists about the looks they’re executing. Thankfully for us, New York Fashion Week SS25 has been feeding us well with tons of different makeup looks to obsess over and add to our Pinterest mood boards. From glass skin at Prabal Gurung to cool pink lips at Sandy Liang , there were tons of stunning makeup details. And because the beauty looks were so jaw-dropping, I’m taking note and adjusting my makeup routine accordingly.
