On October 7, 2024, Deadline reported that Universal had acquired the rights to the New York Times bestselling 2022 novel Reminders of Him , and slated the film’s release for February 13, 2026. Though no director has been tied to the project yet, Hoover wrote the screenplay and will be producing alongside Lauren Levine through their own Heartbones Entertainment. It Ends With Us —Hoover’s first adaptation, which earned a whopping $344.5M—was written and produced by Christy Hall, making Reminders of Him the first time Hoover will be taking the reins.
