Colonial schools to expand access to AP for students with disabilities after federal probe
U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights has resolved a compliance review of Colonial School District. The resolution agreement announced Thursday stems from allegations the Delaware district was not providing students with disabilities equal access to Advanced Placement courses. The agreement now looks to ensure ongoing compliance with Section 504 and Title II, the office said in a press release, following its investigation.

State Chamber holds grand opening after renovation project
Last week, the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce held a grand opening receiption at its renovated headquarters in downtown Wilmington. "The plot of land for One Commerce Center was originally donated to the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce by DuPont and has been the location we have called home since 1983. This has been a long-awaited project as it was originally planned to occur in 2020 but was put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Michael Quaranta, president of the Delaware State Chamber. “After reinvesting in the space, we are proud to now have a more open and collaborative place for meetings and events with technological additions that allow us to continue serving as a future-ready and forward-thinking organization for Delawareans to connect and solve problems together.”

BALTIMORE - The Baltimore Orioles will open up next season in Toronto.The 2025 Major League Baseball schedules were released on Thursday. Each team will play every other team in baseball for at least one series.After a four-game series at the Toronto Blue Jays from March 27-30, the Orioles will host the Boston Red Sox on Monday, March 31, for their home opening at Camden Yards.The O's have home interleague games against Cincinnati, Washington, St. Louis, New York Mets, Miami, Colorado, Los Angeles Dodgers and Pittsburgh.They have road interleague games against Arizona, Washington, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia, San Francisco and San Diego. BALTIMORE -- The Maryland Department of Emergency Management increased the State Activation Level from Normal to Partial on Friday morning in response to a Microsoft outage that has paralyzed systems worldwide, including some at BWI Airport.The agency says Partial activation is for "an incident or event requiring significant monitoring or resources," meaning there is additional Emergency Operations Center staffing from other agencies and organizations.
