    Legislators Name ‘Healthcare Heroes’

Bontempi honored Kacey Farber as the Healthcare Hero for the 18th Legislative District during the Suffolk County Legislature’s General Meeting on June 25.  Farber, LMSW, is a highly dedicated and accomplished social worker with over 22 years of diverse experience. As the program manager for the Reichert Family Caregiver Center at Huntington Hospital, she has developed and coordinated a comprehensive caregiver support program for those feeling overwhelmed and lonely after finding themselves the primary caretaker of a sick parent, spouse, or child. has created a “resource hub” for caretakers; including support groups, webinars, wellness-events for family caregivers, and a plethora of information on various topics related to caregiving. Additionally, Kacey oversees social work graduate interns and trains volunteer caregiver coaches. Siddiqui , a pediatrician with over two decades of experience, serves at the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone and NYU Langone Huntington Medical Group. Her dedication to the health and well-being of children has made her an invaluable asset to the Huntington community and to Suffolk County as a whole. She has extensive involvement in community organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, Long Island Cares Harry Chapin Food Bank, and various local advocacy groups, showcases her commitment to making a broader impact.
