Child Dies After Being Pulled Unresponsive from Bay Shore Swimming Pool
Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a 7-year-old boy who was pulled unresponsive from a swimming pool in Bay Shore yesterday. Third Precinct officers responded to the residence located at 1627 N. Thompson Drive after a 911 caller reported that a boy was pulled from a swimming pool at approximately 8:25 p.m. on Saturday, July 20. The victim, Kyrie Berry, of Brooklyn, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.

Robert J. Creighton, a former Suffolk County police commissioner, district attorney’s chief investigator and Smithtown councilman, died Wednesday following a long illness.
