Woman Sustains Serious Injuries After Being Hit By MV In Parking Lot At T.J.Max Commack
Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Commack today. Maria Deluca was driving a 2020 Mercedes-Benz northbound in the parking lot of T.J. Maxx, located at 5020 Jericho Turnpike, when she made a left turn and struck an elderly woman at 1:59 p.m. The woman, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries. Deluca, 63, of Dix Hills, was not injured.

Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney today announced the indictment of Dolores Mancialandaverde, 28, of Medford, was indicted for leaving the scene of an incident without reporting, and other related charges for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while his privilege to drive in New York State was suspended, and then leaving the scene of a crash that resulted in the death of his passenger, Hedilberto Nava-Perez, 44, of Medford, and serious physical injuries to another passenger.
