(SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y.) – Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney today announced that Janell Funderburke, 21, of Coram, was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison after pleading guilty in June to Attempted Aggravated Murder and Robbery in the First Degree, arising out of two separate incidents that included the shooting of a Suffolk County Police Officer in May 2023.
