It’s time to say yes to the prom dress!

Nansemond River High School DECA Chapter, in collaboration with The Obici House of Suffolk, C3 Concierge, and TD Capital Services Production, is assisting teens across Hampton Roads, the Eastern Virginia Region, North Carolina, and nearby areas to find their dream prom dresses.

On March 16, 2024, young ladies will have the opportunity to shop for prom dresses at the 4th Annual Gowns For Crowns Prom Dress Giveaway event, hosted at the Obici House in Suffolk from 11 am to 2 pm.

Their mission is to ease the financial burden of prom by providing high school students with the chance to acquire beautiful prom dresses at no cost, empowering them and their parents and ensuring an unforgettable experience.

They accept gently used or new prom dresses and formal gowns of all sizes at various drop-off locations in Hampton Roads:

• Nansemond River High School: 3301 Nansemond Pkwy, Suffolk, VA 23434
• Kings Fork High School: 351 Kings Fork Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434
• Snatching Bodies Beauty Bar: 2214 Executive Dr. #C, Hampton, VA 23666
• PRF Luxury Suites 3246 Academy Ave., Portsmouth, VA 23703

Dresses can also be mailed to Nansemond River High School, care of Mrs. Candace Credle, no later than March 6, 2024. All dresses are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration for the event is available at www.gownsforcrowns.com. Masks are recommended but not required.
