On Tuesday, April 2, the SRHA Board of Commissioners revealed that Patricia S. Tyus has been selected to serve as the next Executive Director. Tyus will replace Interim Executive Director Ron Jackson, who served after Former SRHA Executive Director and CEO Tracey C. Snipes’s departure in 2023 after 25 years of service.

Tyus, who has a B.S. in Finance and an MBA in Business Administration, has previously served as Director of the Indianapolis Field Office for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Executive Director of the Clarksville Housing Authority in Tennessee, Executive Director of the Housing Authority of Fulton County and as Executive Director of Dekalb Regional Land Bank Authority in Decatur, Georgia. Tyus will begin her role on Wednesday, April 10. In a statement, SRHA Board of Commissioners Chairman Quinton D. Franklin congratulated Tyus on joining SRHA while praising her work.

“Patricia is a highly accomplished executive with extensive experience,” Franklin said. “We look forward to working with Ms. Tyus. She has a lot to offer our community.”
