Suffolk Center Hosts New Art Exhibition with Elizabeth River Artists

The Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts is collaborating with the Elizabeth River Artists Association to present a new art exhibition titled “Variety: The Spice of Life.” The community is invited to explore this showcase of new artworks and meet the artists during a free opening reception on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The exhibition will be open to the public in the Suffolk Center’s award-winning art galleries from June 6 through July 13, 2024. The galleries are accessible for free from Tuesday to Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The Elizabeth River Artists Association, a local juried art group with over 50 years of service to the community, will feature the works of 21 of its talented members. The exhibition will include works in a diverse range of mediums, such as acrylic, collage, mixed media, oils, pastel, and watercolor.

“‘Variety: The Spice of Life’ celebrates the diverse artwork our members create,” said artist Karen Sallaz.

The Suffolk Center invites the public to mix, mingle, and meet the artists during the opening reception. Among the featured artists are:
