Dominion Energy recently announced over $4.2 million in donations to various organizations across seven states, including Virginia.

In an effort to provide funding to human needs, community vitality, education and environmental stewardship, the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation donated nearly $3 million in grant awards to over 200 nonprofit organizations in Virginia, including the City of Suffolk. Donations to Suffolk nonprofits included:

Walk In It – $2,500 for Ladies of Distinction

Western Tidewater Free Clinic Inc. – $2,500 for Access to Critical Healthcare

Legacy of Hope Foundation Inc. – $2,500 for Let’s Build HOPE Together

Suffolk Meals on Wheels Inc. – $2,500 for More than a Meal

In a statement, Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation President Hunter A. Applewhite expressed their support for the organizations.

“Every day, nonprofit organizations make an outsized impact on our communities,” said Applewhite. “We are proud to support them with grants that will strengthen their efforts. That’s just one more way Dominion Energy demonstrates its commitment to the communities we serve.”

The next round of grant applications will open up on Aug. 1. For more information, go to dominionenergy.com .
