Suffolk announces Stars & Stripes spectacular

SUFFOLK, VA (June 28, 2024) The City of Suffolk Parks & Recreation Department will host its annual Stars & Stripes Spectacular concert and fireworks show on Thursday, July 4, at Constant’s Wharf Park & Marina, 100 E. Constance Rd.

Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m., The Feenies will take the stage from 6 to 9 p.m., and the fireworks will light up the sky over the Nansemond River at 9 p.m. Admission is free for all ages. Several food trucks and merchandise vendors will be on-site and available for purchase, including beer for those 21-years and older (IDs are required). Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket for seating. A Kid’s Area featuring bounce houses, crafts, face painting, and glitter tattoos will be available, along with other outdoor games.

Please note that there is no on-site parking for this event. Shuttle stops will be available at First Baptist Church, 237 N. Main St., and the Godwin Courthouse Building, 150 N. Main St. Shuttles will run from 5:15 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and again once the fireworks are complete.
