    Prince George’s County police arrest shooting suspect, recover several weapons

    PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said officers have arrested a man in connection with a recent shooting in Suitland.

    Police said that on July 5 at about 6:25 a.m., officers responded to a business in the 5100 block of Auth Road for a reported shooting.

    The suspect was identified as 23-year-old Nicholas Norris of Suitland. The victim told officers that Norris shot at him while attempting to steal something. The victim was not injured.

    During the investigation, detectives identified Norris and arrested him on July 12, charging him with attempted first and second-degree murder, as well as other related charges.

    Investigators also obtained a search warrant for his home, where they recovered several firearms, firearm parts and equipment for manufacturing firearms.
