Heat Back in the Region, Storms Possible on the Fourth
While the last couple of days in the Lakes Region has been humid, temperatures have stayed mostly in the upper 80s to around 90. That changes today. Forecast highs today surge back into the upper 90s with Heat Index Readings above 100. Parts of the region are under Heat Advisories for today. The Western Sections of the Lakes Region including Barry and Stone Counties in Missouri along with Carroll and Madison Counties in Arkansas are under the Heat Advisories with Heat Index readings around 110. Slightly lower readings are expected in other parts of the Lakes Region including the Branson and Harrison areas.
