PARIS, Texas — The Como-Pickton Lady Eagles performed well in their most recent set of games. In that span, they competed in the Chisum Tournament, as well as a non-district contest.

On the first day of the tournament, the Lady Eagles opened up against the Miller Grove Lady Hornets. The Lady Eagles suffered a three-set loss in that game, with set scores of 25-9, 12-25 and 21-25.

Como-Pickton's next game paired them against the Whitewright Lady Tigers. Como-Pickton earned a sweep in that game, with set scores of 25-22 and 25-19.

In their third game, the Lady Eagles took on the North Lamar Pantherettes JV team. The Lady Eagles earned a hard-fought three-set win in that game, with scores of 22-25, 25-15 and 25-21.

The following day, Friday, the Lady Eagles took a break from the tournament, traveling to Avery to face off against the Avery Lady Bulldogs in a non-district game. The Lady Eagles came out on top in three sets, with scores of 25-23, 25-21 and 29-27.

Como-Pickton then resumed tournament play Saturday. Their first game against the Bells Lady Panthers resulted in a two-set loss for the Lady Eagles, with scores of 11-25 and 21-25.

The Lady Eagles then played the host team, the Chisum Lady Mustangs. Como-Pickton once again suffered a two-set loss in that game.

For their last game, the Lady Eagles played the Pittsburg Lady Pirates. The Lady Eagles’ tournament run ended on a sour note with a three-set loss.

With these results, the Lady Eagles are now 4-4 on the season. They resumed action Tuesday, welcoming the Mount Vernon Lady Tigers to Como-Pickton High School.
