    WOLFE CITY — The Sulphur Bluff Lady Bears suffered a tough loss Tuesday, falling in four sets to the Wolfe City Lady Wolves on the road. Despite playing well early on, the Lady Bears weren’t able to keep up for the entire game, coming away empty-handed.

    The first set was controlled by the Lady Wolves, as the Lady Bears struggled to find their footing early on. The Lady Wolves won the first set 25-14, taking the lead.

    The second set would be a back and forth battle, as both teams played at a high level. After a hard battle, the Lady Bears came out on top 26-24, winning the second set and tying the score at 1-1.

    The third set was yet another high scoring one, with both teams showing no signs of slowing down. The Lady Wolves edged out a 25-20 win in the third set, pulling ahead 2-1.

    In the fourth set, the Lady Wolves took their game to another level, as the Lady Bears couldn’t keep up with them. Wolfe City won the fourth set 2512, ending the game and handing the Lady Bears a four-set loss.

    Madi Collett finished with six assists, four kills and one dig. Yulisa Castillo recorded six kills and one block.

    Zaylee Peyton totaled six kills, two aces, two digs, one assist and one block. Vada Kendall finished with five assists and one block.

    Emerson Fite tallied three blocks and three kills. Emma Carr finished with two digs, one block and one ace.

    Other contributors include Kinder Stanley with two kills; Emily Melton with one ace and one dig; and Ana Servin with one dig.

    With the loss, the Lady Bears fell to 7-8 on the season. They resumed action Friday, welcoming the North Hopkins Lady Panthers to Sulphur Bluff High School.
