QUINLAN, Texas — The Cumby Lady Trojans won their second straight game Tuesday after sweeping the Boles Lady Hornets on the road. Throughout the game, the Lady Trojans asserted themselves as the better team and never gave the Lady Hornets a chance, coming away with a quick victory.

The opening set was dominated by the Lady Trojans, as the Lady Hornets struggled from the beginning and couldn’t establish any rhythm. The Lady Trojans cruised their way to a 25-12 win, establishing the lead.

In the second set, the Lady Hornets stepped up their game, scoring more points. Despite this, the Lady Trojans sill came out on top, winning the second set 25-23 and extending their lead to 2-0.

The third set saw the Lady Trojans step their game up, while the Lady Hornets couldn’t sustain their second-set play. The Lady Trojans ended the game with a 25-16 win in the third set, completing the sweep.

With this win, the Lady Trojans improved to 3-1 in district play and 5-20 overall. They resumed action Friday, traveling to Fate to take on the Fate Pioneer Technology and Arts Academy (PTAA) Lady Panthers.
