    Four additional Masonic Lodges join effort to support organizations which dedicated to helping children

    Tickets are now available for the 2024 Kubota RTV-X 4x4 diesel and bumper pull trailer being raffled as part of the Help A Child benefit for local children’s charities.

    The raffle is made possible by The Faulk Company, Como-Pickton FFA, Farm Country, Paris Farm & Ranch, Pittsburg Tractor, Alba Tractor, Big Country Farm Center and Kubota.

    Stop by Farm Country in Sulphur Springs this week to take a peek and get tickets; Hunter will have tickets until the shortly before the event this fall.

    Tickets are $20 each or six for $100 for a chance to enter the raffle. If you miss seeing the vehicle there, keep an eye out, as it’s being circulated at several local and area venues.

    Funds raised through the raffle will go to the Help A Child, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to assist agencies that help kids.

    This year, funding will go to Lake Country Court Appointed Special Advocatesfor children and Hunt County CASA, Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital and Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center, as well as scholarship funds for participating Masonic Lodges to award to one or more graduating senior in their area this school year.

    Help A Child is put on by Masons across the region, with three additional Lodges from Hunt County and one in Clarksville joining the effort this year to raise funds to benefit children in need. Check with Masons in your area for raffle tickets or more information.

    The raffle is only one component of the annual Help A Child benefit.

    A build off featuring area agriculture mechanics students will be held Friday, Oct. 18.

    Then, on Saturday, Oct. 19, there will be an auction of FFA shop projects, a Chili and Brisket cook-off for prizes and a Calf Show at Hopkins County Regional Civic Center. Clydesdale horses will be again be at the event, offering carriage rides for donations Saturday, Oct. 19.
