Cicero’s Town Board Continues And Implements Liquor Sales Policy And Police Agreement
The Town of Cicero continues to revise liquor license regulations, mandating that liquor license holders stop selling alcohol by midnight starting December 31, 2024. The Town also made a new deal with the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police, updating job terms for police officers with starting salaries between $90,481 and $102,670.

Man found dead inside car at Buffalo Grove grocery store parking lot identified, autopsy revealed
A Skokie man has been identified as the person found dead inside a car in the parking lot of a north suburban grocery store on Saturday afternoon, police said.Buffalo Grove police and fire units responded to Woodman's Food Market at 1550 Deerfield Parkway just before 3 p.m. for a well-being check on a person inside a vehicle emitting a foul odor.ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watchFirst responders found a man dead in a blue Chevrolet Equinox parked on the south end of the parking lot.The man was identified as Danny McCoy, 68, of Skokie by the Lake County Coroner's Office.The coroner said preliminary autopsy results indicated that McCoy died from natural causes.A large fire and police presence was on the scene for more than three hours.
Two Indiana men dead, young girl found safe after boating accident
Two men from Indiana died in a boating accident on a lake in eastern Illinois and a 7-year-old girl has been found safe. The Illinois Department of Natural Resources said Monday in a news release that police got a call about a distressed boater on Sunday August 18 at the LaSalle Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area. When they got there, they saw a capsized vessel and found the girl on the shore with park visitors who helped her out. Those same visitors helped her contact her mother and grandmother.
