Area towns receive help with water projects
Several area towns will receive drinking water and wastewater funding after projects were approved in Tuesday’s State Water Infrastructure Authority Meeting in Raleigh. The announcement of $235 million in drinking water and wastewater infrastructure funding and stormwater grants was made by Gov. Roy Cooper on Wednesday. Three people charged with murder of Bladen Co. man who went missing three years ago
SCOTLAND COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - Three people from Scotland County have been arrested for the 2021 murder of Brandon McDonald of Bladen County. McDonald was first reported missing more than three years ago on March 25, 2021. He left his home in Clarkton that morning with plans to travel to Laurinburg, but was never seen or heard from again.
