    Summers County: female faces charges for domestic battery and fleeing from deputies

    SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Summers County female who identifies as a transgender man is facing charges after a physical altercation with her girlfriend and fleeing from deputies.

    On the 24th of June 2024, at around 2:55 PM, the Summers County Sheriff’s Department received a call regarding a domestic violence situation on Autumn Street in Alderson, Summers County, WV. While en route, deputies were informed that a man named Dexter Williams was armed and contemplating suicide. Other deputies were called immediately for backup.

    Upon reaching the residence, an individual fled from the yard, prompting a foot pursuit by multiple officers. Despite our commands to stop, the individual, later identified as Jenna Wiggins, continued to evade deputies.

    Deputies eventually apprehended Ms. Wiggins, who identifies as a transgender male and goes by the name of Dexter.

    Later, a witness, Ms. Wiggins’ girlfriend, revealed that Ms. Wiggins had consumed a significant amount of alcohol and engaged in a physical altercation with her. The girlfriend also reported that Ms. Wiggins brandished a rifle during the argument, causing the girlfriend to fear for her safety and seek refuge with her child at a neighbor’s house. Deputies escorted Ms. Wiggins back to her residence, where she showed me the location of the firearm, a 22 rifle, which was seized as evidence.

    Wiggins was charged with fleeing on foot, domestic battery, and brandishing a deadly weapon. A magistrate set a bond for 2,000 dollars.
