RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - The end of the school year is the time many high schoolers use to find scholarships. Victoria Schoenherr was no different, searching the internet for fashion and design scholarships to help her pay tuition at the University of Northern Colorado. She stumbled upon Duck Tape’s Stuck at Prom Scholarship contest, sent the information to her dad, and the next day had rolls of duck tape waiting to be made into an award-worthy dress.

ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. — Sturgis’ Arina Haugen captured the All-Around Rookie Cowgirl honors at this year’s National High School Finals Rodeo. Haugen qualified for the finals in three different events, breakaway roping, pole bending and barrel racing. She finished with 840 total points, finishing 350 points ahead of second place Kinley Follman (North Dakota). Haugen finished fourth in the All-Around Cowgirl standings.
