At the July 16 Irmo Town Council meeting, the Town officially announced that the Irmo Community Park was being renamed “Moore Park” after Jake Moore. Moore received a Proclamation during the Council presentation citing his “numerous contributions to the betterment of the Irmo Community and the Midlands.” An official plaque will be placed on the amphitheater area of the park about Moore and his countless contributions to the Town of Irmo and the Irmo community.
