OBITUARY: Mary Frances Jones Farris

Mary Frances Jones Farris, age 91, passed away on June 21, 2024.

She was born on July 21, 1932, to the late Andrew Jones and Mamie “Smith” Jones.

She is preceded in death by husband, Earnest L. Farris; parents, Andrew and Mamie “Smith” Jones; daughter, Sherry Brown; one brother, Charles Jones; and two sisters, Dora Mae Hawks, and Irene Bishop.

Mary Frances is survived by her children, Connie (Shelby) Barnes, and Gail (Ron) Phillips; grandchildren, Wendy Barker, Shelaena Wix, Caleb Wix, Ethan (Whitley) Barnes, Lloyd (Laura) Brown, Jared Barnes and Adam Barnes; 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Florence Hall.

Funeral service for Ms. Farris will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 1 pm at Woodard Funeral Home with Brother Doyle Farris officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 am until service time at 1 pm. Interment will follow in the Sumner Memorial Gardens.
