Speedway 95 – July 3rd [RESULTS]
Here are the results from Speedway 95 on Wednesday, July 3rd. Stars of Tomorrow took the track for their feature race with Austin Beale leading them out of the pit to start the event,. Austin led all 20 laps of the Stars of Tomorrow feature and did not look back. Austin Beale had a best lap time of 18.625 seconds per lap, with an average speed of 47 MPH. Carson Bellows was able to move up from his starting position of 5th to try to catch Beale but wasn't able. Carson Bellows had a best lap of 18.910 seconds for the 1/3-mile oval, with an average lap speed of 46 mph. Carson Bellows finished 9.5 seconds behind Beale. Waylon Giguere rounded out the Top 3 for the Stars of Tomorrow having started in the 2nd position. Giguere had a best lap time of 19.272 seconds and an average speed of 45 mph.

Blasts from the past kept stride with current and imaginative times during the 2024 Thomaston Fourth of July parade. Some sights included an antique school bus occupied by members of the Lady Knox chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mount Desert Island YMCA hosts craft fair fundraiser
BAR HARBOR -- The Mount Desert Island YMCA is honoring its 125th year in operation, and held a 4th of July craft fair that was part fundraiser and part celebration. The event featured vendors offering handcrafted jewelry, trinkets, art and more, allowing small businesses to shine while supporting a community pillar. The funds raised will help to keep swim lessons free for area children.
The Elks Host 4th of July in Presque Isle
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Folks in Presque Isle were enjoying some Fourth of July activities outside, thanks to the Presque Isle Elks Lodge. The Elks Lodge held their 18th annual July 4th Community Celebration. Limestone reschedules fireworks but hundreds enjoy patriotic parade
LIMESTONE, Maine — Limestone’s Fourth of July events got off to a rocky start Wednesday night when a fireworks technician was injured just before 9 p.m. While setting up the show, a fireworks technician suffered injuries after several fireworks were accidentally set off near the chosen site at Grand Falls Road, said Michelle Albert, president of the Limestone Chamber of Commerce, who organizes the annual Fourth events.
