Mississippi Correctional Facility 3rd death of the month
EAST MISSISSIPPI - East Mississippi Correctional Facility, just 90 miles east of Jackson, Mississippi, has reported its 3rd death this month. Official for Management and Training Corporation stated, Clarence Gillie,59, was discovered unresponsive on Thursday. The facility medical staff responded immediately until emergency medicals arrived, soon after declaring Gillie as deceased.

Caledonia man sentenced after fraudulently applying for, receiving COVID-19 business loan
OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) – A man has been sentenced for receiving $800,000 that was aimed at helping businesses survive the COVID-19 pandemic. Herman Nash, 63, of Caledonia, was given one and a half years in prison for fraudulently applying for and receiving Economic Injury Disaster Loans, according to a news release from the US Attorney’s Office.
