The Buffalo Soldiers holds a ceremony where a couple hundred motorcyclists are coming to honor the forgotten soldiers whose graves were found at the playground and basketball courts in West Nesquehoning Park. The Buffalo Soldiers were Black troops who served in segregated units formed after the Civil War mostly for duty in the West. Work to resume at Fourth Street garage as Easton fights for former subcontractors to be paid
The Fourth Street Parking Garage will receive long-awaited work after a resolution passed by Easton City Council to bring on a new contractor. This resolution arrives after problems arose with the original contractor the city hired to construct the garage, Perrotto Builders. After the city complained of the quality and timeliness of their work, only the bottom deck of the garage opened last May. The garage fully opened last June.

Parents Face New Charges in the Death of 12-Year-Old Malinda Hoagland
WEST CHESTER, PA — The Chester County District Attorney’s Office announced additional charges this week in the tragic case of 12-year-old Malinda Hoagland’s death. Her father, Rendell Hoagland, 52, and his partner, Cindy Warren, 45, of West Caln Township, now face charges of First Degree Murder, Second Degree Murder, Third Degree Murder, Involuntary Servitude, and other related offenses.
