Red Cross hosting shelter simulation training in Hattiesburg
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The American Red Cross is hosting a special seminar in Hattiesburg this weekend. The Southeast Mississippi Chapter of the American Red Cross is holding shelter simulation training at the Forrest County Community Shelter. The goal: Increase the number of people who can operate a disaster shelter.

Benson, who majored in marketing, earned her honor by holding at least a 3.25 grade point average. Columbia wraps up $1 million water, sewer rehabilitation project
COLUMBIA, Miss. (WDAM) - The City of Columbia just wrapped up a $1 million project to upgrade water and sewer services in some northern sections of the city. Columbia used a $600,000 federal Community Development Block Grant to help replace or repair water and sewer lines and add storm water inlets to several city streets.
