When he was the governor of Georgia, Jimmy Carter canoed the infamous Bull’s Sluice on the Chattooga River to draw attention to the Chattooga River, shared by Georgia and South Carolina. The group Stay Wild Chattooga Conservancy offers an evening of music, a farm-to-table dinner, along with a bar service from 6 to 10 Saturday night, August 3 at the Chattooga Belle Farm, Damascus Church Road, Long Creek.
