Kay Klinkenborg, of Sun City, will present a class on Christian nationalism and the Heritage Foundation’s document “Project 2025.”

The presentation, open to the public, is 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 16, in King Hall at The Church of the Palms, 14808 N. Boswell Blvd.

"Project 2025" is a 116-page document designed and complied by The Heritage Foundation, with other leading Christian nationalism movement organizations, to implement if President Donald Trump is elected to the presidency for a second time. Heritage Foundation has a plan B: a contingency plan to disrupt the governing structure of the Constitution should their preferred candidate for presidency not win. The history and current Christian nationalist’s movement will be discussed.

This topic will be presented by Klinkenborg for the Sun City Democratic Club March 7.

Klinkenborg has facilitated classes in Sun City since 2018 on similar topics: white supremacy, white privilege, North American indigenous genocide, anti-racism, implicit bias, ‘othering’ used as marginalization of black, indigenous, and other people of color, caste systems, doctrine of discovery and imperial colonialism, etc.

She is a spiritual director and member of Spiritual Directors International, author, poet and continues her passion for adult education. She is also a retired registered nurse, a licensed marriage and family therapist and a clinical member of American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She was adjunct faculty for University of Illinois-Springfield prior to retirement and resides in Sun City with her husband, Max Klinkenborg (retired ABC minister).

Registration is required (no fee). Call Church of the Palms at 623-997-8359 or visit the church office 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Continental breakfast is provided and there will be a refreshment break in the class.
