ALC hosts musical performance in Sun City

Singers from around the region will lift their voices with the American Lutheran Church Choir and Music Ministry in the presentation of the masterwork “Requiem,” by John Rutter. The performance is free and open to the public at 3 p.m. March 10 in the church sanctuary at 17200 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City.

The ALC West Valley Community Choir, under the direction of Janet MacDonald, will be in collaboration with multiple professional instrumentalists and vocal soloists; and features Dr. James Gerber at the American Lutheran pipe organ to perform this choral work. While the Rutter piece is the centerpiece of the afternoon, there will be additional music that includes two songs from the choir and solos by harpist Mary Schneekloth and Dr. James Gerber on the organ.
