Meals begin at 5 p.m. in Smoot Hall and consist of salad bar, entree, dessert and beverage (iced water, lemonade, iced tea, coffee). After the meals, there will be a program or a guest speaker.

The meals are prepared by Chef Larnell Benton and cost $8 per person for each meal. Reservations must be made by 4 p.m. the Tuesday before the event. For reservations or further information, contact the church office at 623-974-5821, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Thursday, May 2 — the meal will be braised pork, rice pilaf, mixed vegetables and rolls. There will be a concert from the Sounds of the Southwest Singers, an all-volunteer organization founded in 2010 that has performed across the United States and many cathedrals and halls in Europe. They perform secular, sacred, classical, patriotic, Broadway and pop music. The music will be 6:30 p.m. in the Worship Center. No reservations need to be made for the concert; however, a free-will offering will be accepted.

Thursday, May 9 — the meal will be spaghetti with meat sauce, garlic bread and roasted vegetables. This evening will be a choir and volunteer appreciation event.

Thursday, May 16 — the meal will be country fried steak and gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet corn and biscuits. For this meal, only pre-ticket sales will be accepted and they are $10 per person. The meal begins at 4:30 p.m. It will be a special dinner honoring and thanking Pastor Dave Summers and his wife Kim for their service to Lakeview upon their retirement.

Thursday, May 23 — the meal will be BBQ chicken, mac and cheese, green beans and cornbread. The program will be an update on the Methodist annual conference.

Thursday, May 30 — the meal will be pulled pork sandwich, baked beans and potato salad. Connectional ministries will be the focus of the program with Khalif Smith, director of Connectional Ministries, giving the presentation.
