Daughters Melissa Bagley, Chapter Parliamentarian Kathie Mittelsteadt, Chapter Regent Twila Lobitz and Honorary Chapter Regent Shirley Staggs, of Sun City’s National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Agua Fria chapter, recently attended the Arizona State Spring Conference.

They attended two conference events April 25 at Fort Huachuca, visiting the Fort Huachuca Museum beforehand. In the afternoon they attended the Fort Huachuca B Troop horse demonstration at the Wren Arena.

After the B Troop Demonstration, State Regent Sallie Lovorn dedicated her state project of five historic signs depicting the fort’s history and the training of minority men and women units.

Chapter members then continued to the April 26-28 Tucson Spring Conference. Being the Public Relations and Media Committee Co-Chair, Staggs helped PR and Media Chair Lesley Baran present certificates to Arizona chapters for Newsletter, Brochure, Print Coverage, Social Media Presence, Publicity of Commemorative/Community Events and Daughters Online Community Promotion. The Agua Fria Chapter received the Newsletter and Print Coverage certificates.

Lobitz also attended the State Memorial Service and placed a white rose in a vase in memory of Agua Fria Daughter Sandra Morford. At the 2024-26 State Officers installation ceremony, Lobitz was officially installed as the new state chaplain.
