Choral group for seniors organizing in East Valley
A national nonprofit is organizing a chorale group composed of adults 55 and older that will rehearse through the fall in preparation for a free concert. Encore Creativity for Older Adults is sponsoring the Encore Chorale of Phoenix, which will begin rehearsals for 15 weeks for 90 minutes Tuesday afternoons on Sept. 3 at Horizon Church, 1401 E. Liberty Lane, Ahwatukee.
Peoria Non-Field Turf Removal Project To Conserve Water at City Parks
In response to the ongoing drought challenge across the Southwest, Peoria Parks and Recreation is launching a new Turf Reduction Water Conservation program. Starting this week, the city will be removing non-programmable turf in 18 city parks and replacing it with desert landscaping. Playing fields are not part of this project.
