    Sun City Ukulele Club salutes past president, luthier

    Jean Anderson was the second president of the Sun City Ukulele Club and currently serves on the board as the past president and its luthier.

    As luthier, she helps club members by replacing old or broken strings, installing straps and strap buttons and improving their ukulele’s playability.

    In addition to the ukulele, she plays multiple instruments including the piccolo, flute, guitar, U-bass, mandolin and banjolele.

    Anderson is one of the club’s jam leaders and often spices up a song or two with her multi-instrumental talents.

    The Sun City Ukulele Club meets 3 p.m. Thursdays in the Fairway Music Room and is open to RCSC members. No previous skills are needed.
