Quilters submit entries for Sun City West show

Members of the Palo Verde Patchers of Sun City West are entering their quilts for the upcoming quilt show 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 24 and 25.

Their quilts will be professionally judged and winners will receive decorated ribbons. Located in the Palm Ridge Recreation Center, 13800 W. Deer Valley Drive, the event will be highlighted by more than 200 entries.

Winning quilts from past shows will also be featured in the Winner’s Circle.

“There’s No Place Like Home” is the theme this year and the raffle quilt reflects this moniker. Tickets are available at the show for the raffle quilt as well as raffle baskets, and there will be a boutique.

Admission to the show is $5 at the door and includes discount coupons to several local shops. Lunch will be available for purchase.

Palo Verde Patchers is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Proceeds from the quilt show go toward supporting the organization’s charitable causes and educational programs.
