Zymurgy Club donates to Helping Hands, Sun City West Posse

Members of the Sun City West Zymurgy Club held a dance/fundraiser Jan. 22 with a Billy Joel and Elton John tribute band at the Palm Ridge center.

The club’s board of directors had previously voted to donate proceeds of this event to Helping Hands and the Sun City West Posse, which they did, presenting checks for $2,500 to both organizations.

The Zymurgy Club began 11 years ago with several people wanting to make beer. Since then, it have grown to add wine-making and other crafts, ie. beef jerky, sausage (all types), coffee roasting and grinding; members also serve craft root beer floats to children at the pool during Happy Camp.
